You could try grabbing a Grml ISO, making sure that the according
linux-headers package is installed (like
linux-headers-3.10-1-grml-all for 2013.09-rc1) and then install
bbswitch-dkms to see whether building, installing and using this
kernel module works.

This works fine. I just tried it.
I just had to do
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-3.10-1-grml-all build-essential


 

(I'm afraid we don't have a sane mechanism to ship it via Grml
by default though.)


I had a look at the code of the module but I don't understand it well enough to say if its possible to replace it with a script in userlevel. Also, I think this is just to dangerous to put on live CD.
