Hi all,
I can work around by using boot floppy created from PLPBT-5.0.13.zip. It
doesn't explain difference booting from 2011.05 medium to rc1. But, I
can live with it on these few old machines.

"Boot error" on screen. No post beeps. Does not seek on other drives.
Hangs until USB is removed and box reset.

On another machine booted with rc1 iso;
grml2usb /live/image /dev/sdd1

Hi Charles,
Can you try marking your /dev/sdc1 partition as bootable?
Some BIOSes need this.

Hi Charles,
is there any error message you get/can capture while booting when it fails?
How did you create the USB device for booting?

Hi All,
Rc1 iso and usb created on another machine and boot there. This machine
fails to boot with usb but will with iso. Same scenario and hardware booted
in 2011.05-medium.
