The issue with the licence files for the website is open. I will make the license
lists in the next days.

Evgeni Golov <evgeni@grml.org> added the comment:

Hi,

I have pushed a possible fix for this to
 https://github.com/evgeni/grml-live/compare/list_nonfree_licenses
an example output (from 2012.05-full-amd64) can be found here:
 http://chi.die-welt.net/~evgeni/tmp/nonfree-licenses.txt

Would providing such files for each release/ISO on http://grml.org/files/ fix
the issue for you?

Hi Evgeni!

That and a mention on the frontpage of the project would be a perfect fix. Just so people know their rights.

Proprietary firmware is proprietary.

vrms is very incomplete and misleading since it's named after rms, yet it follows the dfsg...

The bug is the lack of licensing info on the homepage.

Subject: [issue1212] Which licenses?

Michael Prokop <mika@grml.org> added the comment:

No, Grml doesn't contain proprietary software (unless your definition of
proprietary software contains some selected firmware packages from non-free,
install vrms and see yourselve).

PS: This is a *bug* tracker :)

Hi!

Does grml contain proprietary software? I couldn't find any hint about this on the home page. Please advice.
