Current iscsitarget-source packages work fine with kernel 2.6.22. IMO we should
support iscsitarget as long as possible though I welcome any volunteers helping
in sorting out current state of iscsi on Linux.
iscsitarget (http://iscsitarget.sourceforge.net/) basically works fine, but for
newer kernels we have to switch from stable branch to develbranch. stgt (see
http://stgt.berlios.de/) got part of kernel 2.6.20 and therefore we should end
suport of iscsitarget and provide support for tgt instead (as openSUSE does as
well:
https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/stgt-devel/2007-April/000517.html).
Userstuff compiles without any problems (needs libaio-dev), waldi plans to
provide a debian package as soon as the license issue (see https://
lists.berlios.de/pipermail/stgt-devel/2007-April/000499.html) has been resolved.
