ACK, that sounds like it would make sense to drop our /etc/skel/.kshrc for now
and if someone interested in maintaining it we could integrate it accordingly.

I myself am not an active ksh user. Comparing both files, the only thing you
would lose is the more elaborate PS1.

This could be kept by migrating it to /etc/profile.d/ guarded by
[ -z "KSH_VERSION" ] or something similar but I'm not sure whether it's worth
the effort.

Hi,

thanks for the report. I'm actually wondering whether our own /etc/skel/.kshrc
is worth that effort at all, given that the ksh package already provides a
skeleton file. What's you opinion on that?

Building grml-live with ksh included fails as both package ksh and package
grml-etc provide /etc/skel/.kshrc. Maybe add a diversion to grml-etc?
