JFTR: It's NOT just a cosmetic problem. Updates of udev and initramfs-tools
packages will follow soon.

The serious problem about it is fixed by my current live-initramfs-grml-
versions, the cosmetic problem is in work-in-progress.
msg1385 (view) Author: mika Date: 2008-07-20.21:06:29
Current Debian/unstable has a serious problem in the boot chain:

  http://grml.org/screeni/gkrellShoot_08-07-20_164435.png

The "mount: you must specify the filesystem type" doesn't prevent current daily
builds of grml from booting but /dev isn't fully featured. The problem is the
lack of support for "mount -n -o move ..." in util-linux without specifying the
filesystem (-t $FS), but util-linux lacks support for moving a tmpfs ->
dependency hell. I'm in contact with maks (maintainer of initramfs-tools).

regards,
-mika-
