This would need USB statically in the kernel, and IIRC you already veto'ed that 
at some point ;)

Not sure whether this change should be really done... (also seems to require 
manual intervention instead of just editing config only)...

Do we want to continue using CONFIG_USB_SERIAL=m or do we want to statically 
compile it into the kernel so we would improve the usb serial console support,

console for the details? AFAIK && IMO there's no reason against statically 
compiling it into Grml's kernel, switch probably won't happen before 2.6.37-grml
[64], so there should be enough time to stand up and argue otherwise. :)
