A script /etc/init.d/ramdisk could provide unionfs and tmpfs features. In a
file like /etc/default/ramdisk you could specify which directories should be
overlayed/bound to ramdisk (tmpfs) and the script itself makes sure that the
given directories are mounted to /ramdisk via use of unionfs and tmpfs.
