Hi, this isssue is fixed as of util-linux version 2.20.1-5.1 which is part of current Grml daily ISOs (I just verified that). thanks for reporting && regards, -mika-

When booting grml-2012.05 in serial console mode (by selection from menu or typing "serial" on isolinux prompt), I cannot get a serial console. Boot and init messages are sent to the serial console but the grml menu and shell prompt are directed to the regular display.
