I couldn't reproduce the problem, let's defer the bugreport until someone complains.

The udev handling inside netcardconfig might cause the eth*_rename-problem. Investigate on the issue, and if we can verify the problem rewrite the code (use manual configuration of udev rules instead of automatic one).
