Our network booting options were improved, see http://grml.supersized.org/ archives/337-More-robust-network-booting.html - if there's anything missing please let us know and reopen this issue. Closing the issue now.

Gebi, do you know what's the current state here? Do we have support for such an feature already? If not: what do you think would be the best place for implementing such an option? Or lets' defer it for now at all?

JFTR: We should do the same as with CD-ROM rescan feature here as well: if no device got an IP address via DHCP we should rescan the interfaces....

As requested by Kingbonecrusher in #grml a bootoption like 'dhcpdelay' would be nice, so the timeout of dhcp client when booting via NFS can be controlled.
