This only affected grml32 (if it affects any version of grml64 it would be a
bug) and was by intention since we wanted to move people to grml64/amd64.

With Grml 2017.05(-rc1) there's SMP support also for grml32 though.

Mika

Hello,

I use grml (in many versions) to test older computer systems. Today I wanted to
test some older socket 604 mainboards (Intel SE7501BR2 and Supermicro
X5DPA-TGM+, both with newest BIOS version) with Intel Xeon DP and MP processors
('Prestonia' and 'Gallatin' cores). Unfortunately the grml versions from 2011.12
and newer do only recognize one single cpu, also if there are two of them
installed. Older versions of grml (tested with 1.0 and 2011.05) will detect all
core/threads.

What can I do?
