grml 2009.10 provides grml-exec-wrapper addressing this issue. If there are any problems with it, open a new issue.

The fluxbox menu basically is static for the grml stuff. We should work on better integration, like integration in update-menus as well as providing a wrapper which checks whether an executable is present and if not provide a useful error message.
