stable kernel 2.6.26-grml[64] released with last stable version, closing this
bugreport therefore
msg1496 (view) Author: mika Date: 2008-09-28.13:21:51
Current problems remaining on amd64:

exmap open-vm sl-modem sysprof virtualbox-ose-guest
msg1494 (view) Author: gebi Date: 2008-09-27.17:45:20
seems there is a patch in the debian bts for this issue already.

make-kpkg of kernel-package is br0ken:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=468839
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=475029

We have to find a workaroud for this issue (simple shellscript?).

Current problems remaining:

exmap open-vm sl-modem sysprof
msg1425 (view) Author: mika Date: 2008-08-21.11:16:26
On amd64 additionally open-vm and virtualbox-ose-guest fail.

I consider bcm5700 being irrelevant nowadays for us, removed from grml-kernel
package for now therefore.

Ok cool, thanks.

Ok.

> kvm could be updated to the future actual version later as an external module.

Ok, thanks for the JFTR so we don't forget that. :)

> hope we can ship truecrypt (the app) with the changed licence.

ACK, see http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue504

we can skip the following kernel modules:
   - realtime-lsm-source
   - truecrypt

kvm could be updated to the future actual version later as an external module.

hope we can ship truecrypt (the app) with the changed licence.
msg1401 (view) Author: mika Date: 2008-07-27.22:10:10
External modules known to fail to build:

bcm5700-source
drbd8-source
exmap-modules-source
fglrx-source
linux-wlan-ng
open-vm-source
realtime-lsm-source
sl-modem-source
squashfs-source
sysprof-module-source
zaptel-source

Todo: grml-kerneladdons and truecrypt.

We have to investigate on that. And we should talk about the state of kvm in-
kernel vs. out-of-tree module.
