Can't reproduce either, looks like the bugreporter (Jimmy) used an old grml2usb 
version or a broken ISO. Closing this issue as the bugreport didn't come up with 
further details and it works for Uli and me without any problems.

Just tested it with latest grml (daily) and latest grml2usb (0.9.28) and
syslinux. Works for me. Can you maybe provide some more details? Do you
have multiple iso images on the usb device?

grml2ram does not work any longer because the path to the squashfs image is 
wrong (when running from usb stick). So executing grml2ram fails.
