So, what's exactly the problem here?

When using BTS via email gateway, everything works fine, except that
comments get deleted. See the msg1101 and msg1102 for comparison.

Since there are no settings in ones profile - at least I didn't find
any - nor do I think, it's a local issue - private mails are working
fine with comments - I was wondering if there are log entries or the
like that may point to what has happened.
