This issue should be fixed, closing the bugreport therefore. If you explore the
same bug again please feel free to reopen it.

Thanks!

JFTR: The upload of grml-etc version 1.1.4 is supposed to really fix the issue.
Explanation: it failed due to a stupid mistake - being a check for nfsdir
instead of the currently being used nfsroot option. Thanks for all the testing,
Wolfgang! Hopefully this package really fixes the issue now. :)

Jimmy, any chance that you can test a fresh ISO from daily.grml.org in the next
few days?

thx && regards,

FYI: I just did an upgrade to 1.1.3 of grml-etc after booting plain grml 1.1,
but it hangs when trying to reboot/halt, see the attached screenshot.

Michael Prokop <mika@grml.org> has uploaded a package that may fix your bug.
Please test the package and inform the maintainer whether

Credits to Walter Haidinger:

Small, but annoying bug in grml-1.1:
The network is shut down _before_ the filesystems are unmounted.

Perhaps no problem when running from CD but I boot grml over PXE
from NFS (from http://wiki.grml.org/doku.php?id=terminalserver).

Obviously shutdown hangs when grml tries to unmount the NFS root
filesystem without a network...
