No action for more than 2 years, considering nobody cared enough.

But: I just verified that this issue is working in the persistence mode using the
"nonetworking" boot option. All details available at
http://wiki.grml.org/doku.php?id=persistency

JFTR: This issue is related to http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue149 and http://
bts.grml.org/grml/issue813 and http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue629 - I'd like to
discuss this issue in the next developer meeting/IRC because it needs some
rework in core parts of the boot process.

Would be great if using 'save-config ...' would save and restore network
settings. Currently even if the file /etc/network/interfaces is saved and
restored dhcp will be executed and no network configuration will be active by
default (because GRMLCFG is used quite at the end of the boot process).

Thanks for the bugreport to Johannes Kastl.
