Hm, why don't you just select "Install bootmanager into partition"?

A bootmanager already in place in the MBR won't be touched then.

During the grml2hd install process one can choose between lilo and grub.

There are circumstances that the installation of a bootmanager is
unwanted (like on a multibootsystem with a bootmanager allready in place).
 
It would be nice to have a third option: do NOT install a bootmanager.
