Works with current daily ISOs for me, closing this bugreport therefore.
msg2801 (view) Author: mika Date: 2009-12-28.13:30:47
Added an according workaround in grml-live:

  http://git.grml.org/?p=grml-live.git;a=commit;h=db3c3de

Please notice though that NFS is seriously broken in Debian again:

  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=nfs-common;dist=unstable
  -> e.g. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=562757

So keeping "Status: in-progress" until NFS is working on our dailys OOTB again.

regards,
-mika-

Alright, it's a bug in the debian package, see #317358 for more information.
I'll integrete a workaround in grml-live.

Verified, thanks for reporting. Looks like the debconf setting just isn't
applied for portmap, don't know why but I'll investigate on that.

Hello,

I'm afraid this bug is present in current daily images. I tried to boot grml
via PXE using isos from 2009-11-13, 2009-11-23 and 2009-12-24 — the result is
"connection refused" error while mounting NFS.

I can't tell if latest stable release is affected too, due the AMD boot problem
(issue753).

We believe that your issue has been closed by the upload of
Version 0.9.24 of grml-live from Michael Prokop <mika@grml.org>.
The explanation is attached below

Source: grml-live
Binary: grml-live grml-live-addons
Architecture: source all
Version: 0.9.24
Distribution: unstable
Urgency: low
Maintainer: Michael Prokop <mika@grml.org>
Changed-By: Michael Prokop <mika@grml.org>
Description:
 grml-live - build system for creating a Grml (based) Linux live system
 grml-live-addons - templates/boot/addons for grml-live
Changes:
 grml-live (0.9.24) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [ Ulrich Dangel ]
   * Update templates/GRML/grml-cheatcodes.txt: mention nodhcphostname.
   * Changed isolinux vesamenu layout to support better multiiso layout.
 .
   [ Thorsten Glaser ]
   * Update MirOS bsd4grml to 20091019.
 .
   [ Michael Prokop ]
   * Software related changes:
     - Add openvas-client, openvas-plugins-base, openvas-plugins-dfsg +
       openvas-server to GRML_FORENSIC.
     - Add stressapptest to GRML_FULL + GRML_FORENSIC.
     - Drop lcap (package is gone) from GRML_FORENSIC.
     - Drop isic + lcap (packages gone) from GRML_FULL.
     - Drop ipset from GRML_FULL + GRML_FORENSIC (it's part of
       xtables-addons-common).
     - Drop harden-remoteaudit + openvas-server from GRML_FULL (they
       are pretty useless without plugins which need just too much space).
   * Rework variable replacements in templates. Now the %VAR% strings
     in the templates match with the ones used inside grml-live ($VAR),
     currently ARCH, DATE, DISTRI_INFO, DISTRI_NAME, DISTRI_SPLASH,
     GRML_NAME, SQUASHFS_NAME, RELEASE_INFO, SHORT_NAME and VERSION
     are supported. If you use your own templates from older grml-live
     versions please make sure to adjust them.
     Thanks to Ulrich for helping with integration within grml2usb.
   * /etc/grml/fai/config/debconf/GRMLBASE: add configuration for
     portmap to not listen on the loopback interface only by default.
     [Closes: issue737]
   * Update templates/GRML/grml-cheatcodes.txt: mention ethdevice.

This bug was present because portmap is listening on the loopback device only
nowadays. A patch for according debconf preseeding via grml-live has been
created. Upload of grml-live (0.9.24) will close this bugreport then.

When starting grml-terminalserver in daily snapshots there's a "Connection
refused" in the logs and the client fails to boot therefore. AFAICS/IIRC
grml-terminalserver tried to use a NFSv4 export that seemed to failed.

(I was a bit in a hurry, so mainly reporting it here so we don't oversee this
issue for the release. We should verify this issue.)
