Step to produce the problem:
mount external drive
create an sparse file via dd if=/dev/zero of=/external/grml.img
boot grml with grml home=/dev/externalDevice

Attached a small fix so that trymount handle this correctly, e.g. do not run in
in infinite loop.

I will try to reproduce it again and fix the trymount function

Schula, do you have any idea how we could improve this?

Hi,
the problem is that the image on the stick has errors and could not be mounted.

But the real problem is that the trymount function does not handle this correctly.

This bugreport might be still valid, we have to work on it.

Ich hab mit mkpersistenthome das home als ext2-image auf einem vfat-
formatierten usb-stick erstellt.
beim reboot und dem folgenden mountversuch des homes am usb-stick fragt er mich 
fuer ein passwort fuer aes256-verschluesselung, obwohl das ext2-img am usb-
stick ja garnet verschluesselt is... kann nur abbrechen, das home wird dann 
nicht gemountet.
habs dann probiert den usbstick ext2 zu formatieren unds home direkt 
draufzuspielen, das ging.
